Admission to MSc OML

Admission to the MSc OML program is based on the following criteria:


  • Students with a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from the TU/e have immediate access to all tracks of the master's program.
  • Students with other TU/e bachelor's degrees may have access to the program after completing specific additional requirements.
  • Students with a bachelor's degree from another Dutch university (WO) may have immediate access to the program, depending on their degree.
  • Students with an international bachelor's degree must meet specific admission requirements.
  • Students with a bachelor's degree from a University of Applied Sciences (HBO) can enter the pre-master's program Operations Management & Logistics.

Additional Requirements for Other TU/e Bachelor's Degrees

Students with other TU/e bachelor's degrees must complete the following courses to have access to the program:


  • Algorithmic programming for operations management (5 ECTS)
  • Production and inventory control (5 ECTS)
  • Fundamentals of financial and management accounting (5 ECTS)
  • Management of human behavior in organizations (5 ECTS)
  • Mathematics 2 (5 ECTS)
  • Statistics for IE (5 ECTS)

Bachelor's Degree from Another Dutch University (WO)

Students with the following bachelor's degrees have immediate access to the program:


  • Industrial Engineering & Management (Universiteit Twente)
  • Industrial Engineering and Management (Rijksuniversiteit Groningen)

International Bachelor's Degree

Students with an international bachelor's degree must visit the Admission and Enrollment page for more information about admission requirements.


Bachelor's Degree from a University of Applied Sciences (HBO)

Students with a bachelor's degree from a University of Applied Science (HBO) can enter the pre-master's program Operations Management & Logistics (30 ECTS). After completion of the pre-master, they have direct access to all tracks of the master Operations Management & Logistics.
