Program Overview

Pre-master Information Security Technology

The pre-master program is designed for students who have completed an HBO degree or a deviating university (WO) bachelor, and wish to gain access to the master program. The duration of the pre-master is usually between one semester and one academic year.

Admission

Students who have completed an HBO degree may be eligible to participate in the pre-master program. A pre-master can also be used by students with a deviating university (WO) bachelor to gain access to the master program. The pre-master is only intended for students with a Dutch prior education.

Curriculum

Completion of a pre-master program gives access only to the corresponding master program; successful completion of this pre-master Information Security Technology (IST) program only gives access to the IST Master program at TU/e, which will be renamed Cybersecurity as of September 2026.

Regulations

The pre-master program is subject to the general rules and regulations of the university.

Academic Advisor

Students in the pre-master program will be assigned an academic advisor to guide them throughout their studies.

Prior University Bachelors

Students with a deviating university (WO) bachelor may be eligible to participate in the pre-master program to gain access to the master program.
