Program Overview
The Computer Science and Engineering program at Eindhoven University of Technology is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in computer science and engineering. The program is divided into three years, with a focus on major courses, electives, and a bachelor's final project.
Program Composition
The program composition for students starting in academic year 2023/2024 and later is as follows:
- In year 1, the program fully consists of major courses, including a basic course that all Bachelor students at the TU/e have to take, and other courses linked to the Computer Science Domain.
- A Study & Career Orientation Program (SCOP/e) is also a mandatory part of the study program from year 1 through to year 3.
- In addition to courses and SCOP/e, there are some additional mandatory components, including 2IPS1 Alumni Night, Studium Generale, and MyFuture points.
- In year 2, students have the opportunity to personalize their program by choosing 3 electives and a Multidisciplinary Challenge Based Learning course.
- In year 3, the program consists of 4 major course components, including the Capstone course, Software Engineering project, and Bachelor End Project, as well as electives of the student's choice.
Major Courses
The major courses in the program include:
- A basic course that all Bachelor students at the TU/e have to take
- Courses linked to the Computer Science Domain
- The Capstone course, which allows students to focus on the Computer Science area of their choice
- The Software Engineering project, in which students work on software development in a group
- The Bachelor End Project, in which students conduct individual research and write a thesis
Electives
Students have the opportunity to choose electives in year 2 and year 3, allowing them to personalize their program and focus on areas of interest.

- SCOP/e (Study & Career Orientation Program)
Time Slots
To prevent scheduling mix-ups, Bachelor College courses are scheduled in one of five time slots (A-E).

Academic Year Calendar
The academic year calendar is available for students to plan their studies.
Bachelor Final Project
The Bachelor Final Project is a mandatory component of the program, in which students conduct individual research and write a thesis.
Double Degree BAM/BCS
The program also offers a Double Degree option in Business Administration and Computer Science.
