Diploma de Experto en Derechos Humanos

Presentaciˇn

The Diploma de Experto en Derechos Humanos is a specialization title within the Master's in Gobernanza y Derechos Humanos, focusing on the content of human rights and the guarantees established for their preservation, both nationally and internationally.

Objetivos

The objectives of the Diploma de Experto are similar to those of the Master's, but with a specific focus on the protection of human rights. Students enrolled in this program will only take Modules II and III of the Master's, sharing the same teaching staff and content as the Master's students.

Plan de Estudios

The program consists of two modules:

• Module 2: Derechos Humanos (14 ECTS, Obligatoria)
• Module 3: Garantias. Parte especial (12 ECTS, Obligatoria)

Competencias Bßsicas

• Study of the scope and meaning of autonomy and equality values in relation to the notion of rights and their application to specific topics.
• Analysis of the legal issues arising from the exercise of religious freedom by immigrants.
• Principles of criminal policy in the social and democratic state of law.
• Expression and transmission of concepts, problems, and solutions in oral and written form.
• Critical analysis of the ethical and political dimension of institutions and rights.
• Interpretation of legal norms according to habitual use criteria.
• Demonstration of the capacity to pronounce oneself with precise and rigorous legal argumentation on theoretical issues related to human rights.
• Demonstration of the capacity to resolve practical cases referred to fundamental rights.

• Capacitation in the general and special theory of Human Rights and fundamentals.
• Capacitation on the meaning and scope of each fundamental right recognized in constitutional texts.
• Capacitation in the study of the functioning of national and international guarantee organisms.
• Capacitation in the functioning of real defense procedures.
