Master's Degree in Philosophical Criticism and Argumentation

The Master's Degree in Philosophical Criticism and Argumentation is a one-year program (60 ECTS) offered by the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters at the Universidad Aut鏮oma de Madrid. The program is designed to provide students with advanced training in philosophy, equipping them with the necessary tools to become competent professionals and researchers in theoretical reflection.


Program Description

The program's primary objective is to offer students the opportunity to expand their academic training and facilitate the learning of different critical-argumentative models collected in the philosophical tradition. The appearance of new challenges and complexities in the knowledge society has made some of the characteristic features of philosophical training, such as critical thinking and argumentation skills, particularly valued in the present.


Admission Requirements

To access the program, students must have a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy or a related field, such as Arts and Humanities, Psychology, Law, Sociology, or Political Science. The admission process involves submitting an electronic application, which includes:

  • Academic certificate of qualifications from previous studies
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Declaration of average grade
  • Accreditation of Spanish language proficiency (level B2) for non-native speakers
  • Title of Access: In case of having completed previous studies, the title/diploma of degree, license, or equivalent must be attached to the application
