Master's Degree Description
The Master's Degree in Applied Linguistics to English offers two itineraries:
- Linguistic Applied to Discourse and Communication in English Language, aimed at training researchers and professionals for teaching linguistic processes and critical reading, as well as designing and writing a wide variety of linguistic texts.
- Linguistic Applied to Learning English as a Foreign Language in Bilingual and Non-Bilingual Contexts, aimed at training specialists in foreign language acquisition for English as a foreign language and for content subjects.

Specific Access and Admission Requirements
The most common entry profile is expected to respond to students who have graduated from a degree related to the studies of this Master's, such as the Degree in English Philology; the Degree in English Studies; the Degree in Modern Languages, Culture, and Communication; the Degree in Translation and Interpretation, or degrees that include foreign language studies.
In any case, since the Master's program is focused on the study of the English language and is taught entirely in English, knowledge of English is considered an essential requirement to achieve the learning objectives. Students must accredit a level of English B2 according to the European Framework for Languages by presenting a diploma such as the Advanced Certificate of Aptitude from the Official Language School, or demonstrate that their knowledge of English is sufficient to follow the teachings of the MULAI with profit in an interview.

The selection of candidates for the Master's program will be made according to the evaluation of the following merits:
- Title prior to access, prioritizing the possession of a degree in English Philology, Modern Languages, Culture, and Communication, or Translation and Interpretation
- Academic record
- Academic stays abroad and knowledge of other languages, in addition to English
- Research experience
- Professional experience in any of the labor areas to which the Master's teachings are oriented
- Publications, obtaining research grants or scholarships

Entry Profile
The Master's program is oriented towards students graduated in studies related to language and/or communication. Students from teaching, psychology, and/or institutional relations or media backgrounds are also welcome. The language of instruction is English, so applicants must accredit an advanced level of English that allows them to understand academic texts and communicate.
