Program Overview


Introduction to the University Program

The University Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) has introduced the Dual Mention in the Degree in Chemistry, becoming the first public center in the Community of Madrid to offer this formative modality.


Program Details

The Dual Mention in the Degree in Chemistry is a project that integrates academic training with practical experience in a business environment. This has been made possible through collaboration between the Faculty of Sciences and five reference companies in different sectors of the chemical industry.


Collaborating Companies

The following companies are participating in this project:


  • Repsol: A multinational energy company, leader in innovation and energy transition, offering students the opportunity to work on projects related to applied chemistry in the energy industry and sustainability.
  • Sika S.L.: A company specialized in chemical products for construction and industry, allowing students to learn about advanced material and chemical formulation processes that contribute to the improvement of infrastructure and technical solutions.
  • Coexpan: A reference in the manufacture of flexible packaging and packaging solutions, providing an environment for students to work on the development and optimization of materials and processes that meet high standards of quality and sustainability.
  • Reinosa Forgings and Casting: Dedicated to the casting and forging of metal components for strategic sectors, offering the possibility of exploring applied chemistry in metal materials and quality control in complex industrial processes.
  • Lactalis: A multinational leader in the dairy sector, facilitating practical training in the control and development of food products, reinforcing the importance of chemistry in food safety and innovation in nutrition.

Program Structure

Students will complete 54 ECTS in these companies, under the joint supervision of academic and professional tutors.


Recognition and Accreditation

The Degree in Chemistry has the international quality recognition of the Eurobachelor Seal.


Practical Training

Students África González and Paula Martínez, from the first promotion of the Degree in Chemistry with Dual Mention, have shared their experience combining academic tasks with professional practices in Repsol.
