Programa Interuniversitario en Historia Moderna

The Interuniversity Program in Modern History at the University of Cantabria and the Autonomous University of Madrid offers a common space suitable for high-quality research training and the completion of a Thesis in the field of Modern History. The collaboration with Spanish and international academic institutions guarantees the development of a range of training activities that facilitate the realization of the Doctoral Thesis in the best conditions, as well as optimizing the results of the research carried out, thanks to the debate and participation in national and international scientific forums, particularly through the agreements signed with highly specialized academic entities in the research of Modern Age societies.

Eje Tematico Fundamental

The fundamental thematic axis of the Interuniversity Doctoral Program is Powers and Societies in the Ancient Regime. In particular, the research problem is the history of power in all its concretions within the fields of Modern History, paying special attention to the developments known in the Iberian empires, within the framework of the global history of Modern Age societies.
