Program Overview
The Program of Formative Action in University Volunteering is an educational and formative tool that complements the training received by students in the classroom. This program provides an education in values such as solidarity, equality, non-violence, and respect.
Program Objectives
The objective of this program is to select a maximum of 300 students from the Autonomous University of Madrid to participate in the "Program of Formative Action in University Volunteering". The program follows an itinerary that all participants must complete from October 1, 2025, to May 29, 2026.
Program Requirements
To participate in the program, students must:
- Be enrolled in the Autonomous University of Madrid during the 2025/2026 academic year.
- Commit to participating from October 1, 2025, to May 29, 2026, in the formative activities and volunteering activities.
- Have motivation and interest in volunteering actions.
- Complete the pre-registration for the program from September 5 to 17, 2025, through the SIGMA tool.
- Formalize their registration from September 22 to 26, 2025, through the SIGMA tool.
Program Itinerary
The program consists of a formative phase of 54 hours and a volunteering phase of 96 hours. Students who complete the program and are enrolled in undergraduate studies at the Autonomous University of Madrid can access the recognition of 6 ECTS.
Selection Process
The selection process for the program is based on the order of arrival of pre-registrations through the SIGMA tool from September 5 to 17, 2025. A provisional list of pre-selected students will be published on September 19, 2025. Pre-selected students must formalize their registration from September 22 to 26, 2025, through the SIGMA tool.
Documentation
Students must provide the following documentation during the registration process:
- Letter of commitment to the program
- Volunteer profile form
- Certificate of Negative Sexual Offenses (for actions that require it)
Program Recognition
The program obtained the Quality Seal Certifica+ in 2022, which certifies the acquisition of competencies through volunteering training and is awarded by the Volunteering Platform of Spain.
