This expansion utilizes the assets of the STiPS (Science, Technology, and Innovation Policy Studies) program, a subsidiary major and advanced program focused on science and technology policy in the public sphere.
Program Details
The program aims to contribute to the development of ELSI human resources across the university by:
- Providing an independent subsidiary major and advanced program to graduate students throughout the university
- Utilizing humanities and social sciences education resources in honor university programs (such as those for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields) and other department-sponsored subsidiary major and advanced programs
- Offering ELSI courses, with a focus on medical, dental, pharmaceutical, and science and technology fields
Program Objectives
The primary objective of this program is to foster ELSI human resources by leveraging the existing STiPS program and expanding its reach across the university. This includes providing educational resources and courses that cater to a broad range of disciplines, ensuring a comprehensive approach to science, technology, and innovation policy studies.
