2026 HUST Application Guide for On-campus Foundation Program

Eligibility

Applicants must hold a valid foreign passport and have graduated from high school. High school graduates can provide a pre-graduation certificate during application and provide a graduation certificate before registration. Applicants must be foreign citizens in good physical and mental health, with good academic performance.

Documents for Application

• Passport
• Academic Certificate: Official certificate of the highest education or the official document of enrollment issued by the current institution
• Transcripts
• Physical Examination Form
• Certificate of Non-criminal Record: A certificate issued by the police station or law enforcement agency certifying that the applicant has no previous criminal record
• Financial Certification/Bank Statement (5000 USD) or above
• Applicants under the age of 18 must provide certified documents of designation signed by their entrusted legal guardians in China
  • Note: All application documents must be in Chinese or English. Documents issued in a third language should be translated into Chinese or English.

Application and Admission Procedures

Application Period

October 15, 2025, to January 10, 2026

Steps

1. Log in to the HUST Online Application System
2. Choose the Foundation Program, upload the required documents, submit the application, and wait for the admission result

• Note: The documents uploaded should be clear, complete, true, and valid. Incomplete or false applications will be rejected.

Duration

• Duration: 21 weeks
• Intake: February 27, 2026 July 15, 2026

Location

• Campus: Junshan Campus

Fees

• Application fee: 600 CNY/100 USD (non-refundable)
• Tuition: 17,500 CNY
• Accommodation: 700-1,200 CNY/month
• Medical insurance: 400 CNY/semester
