Undergraduate Program for Specialty in Physics

Program Objective

The objective of this major is to cultivate future scientists. The curriculum provides students with a broad and solid foundation of physical theories, enhanced capability of mathematical and logical analyses, and a good skill of hands-on and experimental analyses. Concentrations include Theoretical Physics, Plasma Physics, Condensed-Matter & Materials physics, Optics, Astrophysics, Nuclear and Particle Physics, Precision Measurement Physics, to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the state of the arts in Physics.


Learning Outcomes

  1. Learn fundamental theories and basic experimental skills in a systematic and comprehensive way.
  2. Learn mathematical skills compulsory for analyzing physical problems, fluent communication skills and scientific writing in English, and computer-aided experiments and simulations.
  3. Learn basic ability for doing scientific research.

Program Highlights

Provide a good training with concrete background knowledge of physics and mathematics, and excellent communication skills in English. Stimulate students' curiosities about scientific research, meanwhile cultivate students to obtain capabilities of logical thinking and analyzing.
