Information Security Program

Introduction

The Information Security program is designed to cultivate high-quality, compound talents with a strong foundation in natural sciences, humanities, social sciences, information sciences, and legal regulations. The program aims to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of information security, including its basic theories, key technologies, and applications.

Objectives

The program has four primary objectives:

• To foster students with good ideological and moral cultivation, scientific and cultural quality, professional ethics, and social responsibility, who are familiar with and abide by network security policies and regulations.
• To develop students' application, research, and innovation capabilities, enabling them to plan, design, develop, and manage information security systems in a cross-disciplinary and cross-domain engineering context.
• To cultivate students with an international perspective and management decision-making capabilities, allowing them to plan, organize, coordinate, and command in a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural cooperative team.
• To equip students with the ability to learn and adapt autonomously in their professional work and social environment, enabling them to adapt to industry developments and foster a strong sense of innovation and entrepreneurship.

Training Model and Characteristics

Training Model

The program adopts a "one institute, two locations, segmented implementation, multi-party cooperation" comprehensive training model. Students undergo a 2+2 segmented training mode, where they spend the first two years studying at the school's main campus and the next two years learning and practicing at the "National Network Security Talent and Innovation Base."

Training Characteristics

The program focuses on mathematics and computer science as its foundation, with information security as its goal and data and content security as its core. It explores the roots, phenomena, solution methods, and new challenges of security issues in data transmission, storage, processing, and access, as well as security issues in data content. Through a series of comprehensive practice courses and research design courses, the program strengthens students' information security comprehensive practice capabilities and innovation abilities, cultivating engineering and technical talents with good scientific quality, research capabilities, and organizational management abilities.
