2023 New Teacher Pre-Service Training Program

Program Overview

The 2023 new teacher pre-service training program was held from August 25 to September 8, with a total of 136 new full-time teachers participating. The program consisted of two main themes: "Course Thought and Politics Teaching Design and Practice" and "Classroom Teaching Skills and Teaching Design."


Course Thought and Politics Teaching Design and Practice

This theme was led by Professor Yang Yong from the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, who provided an in-depth interpretation of the concept and connotation of course thought and politics, as well as the design and practice of professional course thought and politics teaching. The training aimed to enhance the awareness of course thought and politics construction, improve teaching abilities, and promote the implementation of the school's mission to cultivate people through education.


Classroom Teaching Skills and Teaching Design

This theme was led by Professor Huang Yaling from the First Clinical College, who adopted a small-class teaching and group teaching model. Each group was equipped with an experienced teacher as an assistant and guide. The training included micro-teaching exercises and BOPPPS teaching exercises, allowing teachers to master basic classroom teaching skills and effective teaching design methods through theoretical learning and practical operations. Professor Huang also utilized modern educational information technology, such as smart classrooms and micro-assistants, to organize various teaching activities, creating a lively and interactive classroom atmosphere.


Program Outcomes

The program received positive feedback from participating teachers, who found the content to be systematic and comprehensive. The course thought and politics theme helped teachers to systematically understand the ways to integrate professional courses with thought and politics education, while the classroom teaching skills and teaching design theme updated teachers' educational concepts, taught them practical and effective teaching skills, and provided a high-efficiency teaching approach. The program effectively improved the teaching abilities of new teachers, laying a solid foundation for their future teaching careers.
