The Moment Reproduktion Huddinge course is part of the L‰karprogrammet, a 5.5-year medical program at Karolinska Institutet. This course focuses on clinical medicine, specifically reproduction and development.

Course Description

The course covers areas such as gynecology and obstetrics in both open and closed care. Clinical placement (VFU) is central to the course, with a strong emphasis on primary care, disease prevention, and diagnostic principles. The course also explores women's vulnerability in family, close relationships, and society, including men's violence against women and relevant laws.

Course Structure

The course consists of a theoretical part with lectures and seminars, as well as a practical part with clinical placement at the Karolinska University Hospital in Huddinge. The clinical placement is divided into an obstetric and a gynecological part.

• Obstetric part: Students follow the different stages of pregnancy through placement at a maternity clinic, delivery ward, and center for fetal medicine.
• Gynecological part: Students are placed on the gynecology ward, operating room, gynecology emergency department, and gynecology clinic.

Course Objectives
