Course Plan

- The course includes a theoretical part with lectures and seminars, and a practical part with clinical placement at the Women's Clinic at Danderyd Hospital.
- The clinical service is divided into an obstetric and a gynecological part.
- In the obstetric part, students follow the different stages of pregnancy through placement at maternity care clinics, obstetric ultrasound, delivery, and postnatal care. At the delivery ward, students participate in managing deliveries together with midwives and delivery doctors.
- During the gynecology placement, students are placed on the inpatient ward, in the operating room, at the gynecological emergency department, and at the gynecological outpatient clinic.
Course Start
The course starts in the fall semester of 2025, with two cohorts:
- Cohort 1 starts on September 1, 2025.
- Cohort 2 starts on September 16, 2025. The course begins with two lecture days together with the other hospitals, followed by a local introduction day with examination techniques, which is mandatory.
