Program Overview

The Clinical Medicine 6: Obstetrics and Gynecology course is a 9-credit program that provides students with a comprehensive understanding of obstetrics and gynecology. The course is designed to prepare students for clinical practice and is an essential part of the six-year medical program.

Course Structure

The course consists of two introductory days, followed by clinical placements at one of four hospitals: Solna, Huddinge, Danderyd, or S烿. The clinical placements provide students with hands-on experience in obstetrics and gynecology, under the supervision of experienced clinicians.

Registration and Admission

Registration for the course is mandatory and takes place via Ladok. Students must register for the course within a specified period, usually one week before the start of the term. Admission to the course is based on the student's progress in the medical program and their fulfillment of the necessary requirements.

International Course

The course is also offered as an international course during the spring term, with English as the language of instruction. This provides an opportunity for international students to participate in the course and learn about different cultures and healthcare systems.

Examination and Assessment

The course includes a written examination, a practical examination (OSCE), and continuous assessment throughout the term. The written examination takes place at the end of the term, and the OSCE is held during the final week of the course.

Routine for Examination Registration

Students must register for the examination via Ladok, within a specified period. The registration period usually opens at the start of the term and closes 10 days before the examination.

Course Evaluation and Analysis

The course is evaluated and analyzed regularly to ensure that it meets the necessary standards and provides students with a high-quality learning experience.

• Students must be registered for the course to participate in the examination.
