Program Overview

The Fysioterapeutprogrammet (Physiotherapist Program) is a comprehensive education that encompasses theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and professional attitude. A portion of the education takes place in healthcare facilities, known as verksamhetsintegrerat lärande (VIL), which translates to workplace-integrated learning. There are excellent opportunities to complete parts of the studies abroad, as the university has agreements with institutions in the Nordic countries, Europe, and other parts of the world. The basic education provides opportunities for further studies at an advanced level, including master's and doctoral programs.

Ramschema

Terminstider

Terminstider refers to the term times for KI's education at the basic and advanced levels.

Utbildningsplan

The Utbildningsplan (Education Plan) outlines the overall goals of the program, its content, and structure. The two most recent education plans are available, and older plans can be found in the Karolinska Institutet's course and education plan archive.

A new education plan for the Physiotherapist Program will be implemented starting from the autumn term 2026 for students admitted from and including this term.

Medverkande Institutioner

The Department of Neurobiology, Care Sciences and Society is the program-responsible institution for the Physiotherapist Program. Some courses within the program are given by other institutions, including:
