Program Overview

Physiotherapist programme

The Fysioterapeutprogrammet is a university program that includes business-integrated learning (VIL) and business-based learning (VFU), providing students with the opportunity to develop their professional approach and identity. The program allows students to apply and integrate theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

Business Integrated Learning (VIL)

VIL is a collective term for pedagogical models that build on collaboration and integration between higher education and working life. VIL can take the form of activity-based training (VFU), study visits, auscultation, hospitalization, or field studies within open and closed healthcare, care, or other relevant activities.

Business-based Education (VFU)

The operational education on the physiotherapist program takes place within Region Stockholm or in municipalities and private operations in Stockholm County. The VIL policy for the physiotherapist program contains information on what applies to placements, travel routes, and study time.

VIL Policy

The VIL policy for the physiotherapist program is available in PDF format. It is essential to read the policy carefully to understand what applies to placements, travel routes, and study time.

eService card

All students who conduct VFU in Region Stockholm must have an eTjänstekort. The ordering of eTjänstekort takes place automatically in connection with the obligatory web-based education JoBSH.

Health declaration and Health certificate

Students who will conduct VIL/VFU in Region Stockholm must fill in and submit a health declaration and, if necessary, undergo a health examination. The health examination can include, for example, exclusion of TB, MRSA screening, vaccination, or a doctor's visit.

KLiPP

KLiPP is a tool used by both education and operations to administer VIL placements. In KLiPP, students can find their clinical placements and contact information for operations and supervisors.

Excerpt from Charge Register

According to the law, a register extract from the Police Authority's charge register is required for students who will conduct VIL/VFU in pediatrics or eldercare.

Special Needs or Functional Variation

Operations have the right to extra compensation when supervising students with permanent functional variation or special needs. The student must provide a certificate before the VIL period.

Pre-trip to Clinic Placement

Applications for priority placement are treated by the Study Social Committee and must be supported by a certificate. The application for priority placement must be submitted at least one month before the course starts.
