Introduction to the L‰karprogrammet
The L‰karprogrammet, a 5.5-year program, is undergoing a phase-out process. This program leads to a medical degree, but students must also complete an AT (Allm‰ntj‰nstgˆring) to obtain a medical license. In contrast, the 6-year program leads to both a degree and a medical license, with higher learning objectives set from the first term.
Grundfˆruts‰ttningar
The 5.5-year and 6-year programs are two distinct programs with different degree objectives. Students can only study in the program they are admitted to, and it is not possible to simply switch from the 5.5-year program to the 6-year program.

Courses on terms 5 and 6 were last given in VT23 and HT23, respectively.

If a student is not eligible to proceed to terms 7-11, it depends on what is missing. If a student lacks a passing result on DSM2 and/or IDT (entire T1-T4) before VT24, it is not possible to complete their education in the 5.5-year program. The student has the opportunity to apply to the 6-year medical program from the beginning via antagning.se. Upon admission, the student can apply for recognition of their previous studies.
Kurserna p termin 7 (behˆrighetskrav till termin 9)
Courses on term 7 were last given in VT24 and are now discontinued. These courses must be completed with a passing result to meet the eligibility requirements for courses on term 9.
Kursen Examensarbete i medicin p termin 8 (behˆrighetskrav till termin 10)
The course Examensarbete i medicin was last given in HT24. This course has several mandatory activities that must be approved for the student to be able to submit the final version of the degree project.
Kursen Klinisk medicin inriktning neuro, sinnen och psyke p termin 9 (behˆrighetskrav till termin 11)
The course Klinisk medicin inriktning neuro, sinnen och psyke was last given in VT25. This course has several examination forms for the included moments. For the written examinations, three re-examination opportunities are offered after the ordinary occasion.
SVK-kurserna i akutsjukvÂrd p termin 10 (behˆrighetsgivande till IST)
The four student-elected in-depth courses offered on term 10 constitute a deepening of all clinical themes with a focus on emergency care and comprise 7.5 credits.
Sista kurstillf‰lle
The last opportunity to take out an exam in the 5.5-year program is 2029, according to the Government's decision. This means that one will need to read T7 no later than VT27, T8 no later than HT27, T9 no later than VT28, T10 no later than HT28, and T11 no later than VT29 to be able to take the exam and then follow the study pace up to T11.

Termin 1 - 4
Ordinary and five re-examinations were offered for written salstentamina. One of these was after the period that gives the opportunity for the student to become eligible for advancement in the program. For mandatory activities and resource-intensive practical examinations, one ordinary and two replacement occasions were offered.
