The Optikerprogrammet is a university program that offers students the opportunity to study optometry and gain practical experience in the field.
Utbytesstudier
Exchange studies are a part of the Optikerprogrammet, allowing students to spend a period of their education abroad. The program has exchange agreements with universities in several countries, including Switzerland, Denmark, and Spain.
Ansökan om att bli nominerad
To be nominated for exchange studies, students must apply online through the Mobility-Online system. The application process involves two steps: registration and submission of supporting documents.
- Registration: Students must register their application with their personal details, information about their current studies, and their preferred universities.
- Submission of supporting documents: Students must submit a curriculum vitae, a transcript of records, and a letter of motivation.
Ekonomi och försäkring
Students who are accepted for exchange studies will receive a stipend to cover part of their expenses. They will also be able to keep their student financial aid from CSN during their exchange period. Additionally, students will be insured through the university's insurance policy during their exchange.
Aktuella universitet och kurser
The Optikerprogrammet currently has exchange agreements with universities in Switzerland, Denmark, and Spain. Students can choose from a range of courses at these universities, but must ensure that the courses they choose are relevant to their program and can be credited towards their degree.
Restplatser
If there are remaining places available for exchange studies, students can apply for these on an ongoing basis throughout the year. Students who are interested in applying for a remaining place should contact the international student coordinator for more information.

Göra optikerpraktik utomlands
It is possible for students to complete their practical optometry training abroad during the elective period in term 5. However, this requires prior approval from the program director and must meet certain requirements, such as following the course plan and having a licensed optician as a supervisor.

All students who participate in exchange studies must follow the university's code of conduct for students studying abroad. This code outlines the expectations and responsibilities of students during their exchange period.
Ansvariga för internationalisering pĺ optikerprogrammet
The program director is responsible for the internationalization of the Optikerprogrammet, including negotiating exchange agreements with foreign universities and promoting student mobility. The international student coordinator is responsible for administrative tasks related to exchange studies, such as processing applications and providing information to students.
