Program Overview


Program Overview

The program is designed for doctors with a foreign degree from outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland. It consists of two courses: a basic course and an in-depth course.


Basic Course

The basic course is a 30-credit course that provides a foundation for doctors with a foreign degree to work in the Swedish healthcare system.


In-Depth Course

The in-depth course is a 25.5-credit course that builds on the basic course and provides further training and specialization for doctors with a foreign degree. The course focuses on theoretical and clinical training in various medical specialties, including surgery, internal medicine, and psychiatry.


Course Objectives

The objective of the in-depth course is to provide students with insight into the clinical work of a doctor in Sweden, including roles, responsibilities, and powers within a healthcare team, as well as an introduction to the organization of healthcare in Sweden.


Course Structure

The course is divided into two parts. The first part focuses on the theoretical aspects of medical specialties, while the second part provides clinical training and practice.
