The complementary education for nurses with a degree from outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland is designed to integrate knowledge from medicine, public health, social sciences, and nursing to provide high-quality and patient-safe care.

Course Objectives

The objective of the course is for the student to demonstrate professional competence and the ability to integrate knowledge based on the university's goals for a nursing degree.

Course Content

The course includes theoretical and clinical examinations aimed at integrating the student's theoretical and clinical knowledge.

Registration

Registration is mandatory to secure a place in the course and is done through the Ladok system.

The course schedule is published at the latest two weeks before the course starts.

Questions regarding examination dates and re-examination opportunities are answered by the course manager.

The course evaluation is part of Karolinska Institutet's quality management system and is conducted according to established guidelines.
