Geographic Information Science (GIScience) Undergraduate Certificate

Overview

The Undergraduate Certificate in Geographic Information Science is offered by the College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences at Oregon State University. This certificate combines theory and principles underlying geospatial data collection, technologies to manage and analyze geospatial data, computational and statistical methods, digital cartography, and cognitive, social, and environmental implications of GIScience.

Computer Software Requirements

The courses that utilize ArcGIS Pro software are not Mac-compatible. Students' PCs must meet the system requirements listed on the ArcGIS Pro website, or they may use the CEOAS Virtual Desktop system instead.

The GIScience credits earned can be applied toward one of the following Oregon State bachelor's programs:
