Technical Writing Portfolio Creation

The Technical Writing Portfolio Creation course is designed to teach students how to combine their writing samples into a clear and professional portfolio. This course is the final one in the Technical Writing Certificate series and will show students how to assemble their documents, create an online portfolio using WordPress, and optimize it for search engines.

Course Objectives

At the end of the course, students should be able to:

• Assess available documents for use in a portfolio
• Edit chosen documents to work together in a portfolio
• Format internet-published work to optimize search and parser scanning results
• Consider presentation in formatting when editing
• Create a basic portfolio using WordPress
• Make design tweaks to their portfolio site
• Maintain their portfolio and samples into the future
