OHCC Professional Development Certification Training
The Oregon Home Care Commission recognizes homecare workers and personal support workers who are lifelong learners and want to continue developing their skills through the Professional Development Certification program.
Program Benefits
- Gain knowledge and stay current on skills that you can apply immediately to your work.
- SB1534 (mandatory training) requirements are met once you have your PDC.
- The courses are free, and you may qualify for a stipend and a pay differential.
- A PDC meets the pre-requisite requirements for the Enhanced Certification and the Community Health Worker Certification.
How to Earn Your Professional Development Certification
You'll earn your PDC by completing several hours (credits) of training in several categories.
Certification Benefits

Certification Requirements
To earn the PDC, you must complete a certain number of training hours in three categories: core, health, and elective.
