The Professional Science Master's in Fisheries and Wildlife Administration degree program includes an interdisciplinary curriculum and professional skills training.
Overview
In this program, students work with their major professor and graduate committee to choose courses that meet their personal career goals. The diverse selection of courses delivered online by OSU Ecampus allows students to focus on topics that best meet their interests.
Curriculum
A total of 45 quarter credits are required to graduate. The curriculum includes topics such as:
- Wildlife in agricultural ecosystems
- Invasive plants
- Principles of wildlife diseases
- Ecological restoration
- Forest wildlife habitat management
- Fishery biology
- Freshwater ecology and conservation
- Aquaculture
- Environmental law

Additional Program Features
Internship or Capstone Options
Students must complete a written capstone paper or participate in an internship with a natural resource agency, business, non-governmental organization, or research institute directly related to their study area. Internships must be designed to be full-time and last three months or more (about 500 hours).
