Master of Public Health Online

The Master of Public Health Online program at Oregon State University focuses on the prevention of public health issues. The curriculum reflects an integrated approach to teaching and learning, weaving together fundamental public health disciplines to mimic real-world public health practice.

Curriculum

The program includes a 4-credit internship with 160 practice hours, providing students with an applied practice experience to demonstrate attainment of degree competencies. The MPH internship coordinator supports students throughout the internship experience.

Degree Requirements

This is a 56 to 64-credit, non-thesis program. Degree requirements and curriculum information are available on the OSU academic catalog. Students work with their faculty advisor to create a schedule that suits their needs, with the option to finish the program in two to four years. Courses are typically offered once per year, and students must take at least one course per term during the academic year.

Program Features

• State of Colorado: Due to Colorado's Workers' Compensation Act, Oregon State University has limited authorization to offer programs that require internships in the state of Colorado. The Colorado internship site must provide workers' compensation.

• Cost per credit: $582, based on current tuition rates, with no additional charge for nonresident students.
