Program Overview
Natural Resources Program
The Natural Resources Program is offered by the College of Forestry at Oregon State University.
About the Program
Students who live in or around Corvallis, Oregon may pursue the Natural Resources degree on the beautiful campus of Oregon State University.
Getting Started
Both new and transfer students are required to participate in a LAUNCH session that will help them get oriented to the college and program.
- Students will meet with an Academic Advisor each term to receive a PIN number for registration and to plan their academic program.
- The advisor will be assigned to the student after they attend a LAUNCH session.
Evaluation of Prior Coursework
If a student's previous coursework is not on their OSU transcript yet or has not been evaluated by an advisor, there is plenty of OSU coursework that will not duplicate their previous work.
- It can take up to 6 weeks for the Admissions Department to review the student's records.
- An Advanced Standing Report will not be generated by Admissions until the student pays the Advanced Tuition Deposit.
- Once the advisor has evaluated the transcripts, any applicable transfer work will be noted in MyDegrees, the online degree audit system.
- Students can petition to have prior or future courses count towards fulfilling specific requirements in the Natural Resources program by completing a Petition for Course Substitution for each course they are petitioning and submitting it to their Academic Advisor.
Petitioning for Course Substitution
If a student is petitioning for a course to fulfill a Baccalaureate Core or CORE ED, they can submit it through the online form.
- Transfer Credit Petition for Baccalaureate Core
