Business Graduate Major (MSB)
The Business Graduate Major (MSB) is a specialized master's degree program that provides students with a focused exploration of a specific business discipline or topic. The program offers four specializations: Finance, Financial Analytics, Marketing Insights and Analytics, and Supply Chain Analytics.

Specializations
Finance
The Finance track provides focused training in financial markets and institutions, studying access to and use of money and capital. The coursework covers a wide range of finance topics, including:
- Investments
- Portfolio analysis
- International financial markets
- Derivatives and risk management
- Financial modeling
- Commercial banking and financial planning Graduates have career opportunities on the investment management and corporate side of the market, from analyst to manager and executive positions.
Financial Analytics
Financial Analytics is an emerging field in finance that focuses on the advanced quantitative side of financial analysis. Coursework includes traditional financial topics, such as:
- Investments
- Portfolio analysis
- Derivatives and financial modeling With an additional focus on data and business analytics, analytics skills such as data collection, analysis, visualization, and communication are at the forefront of the field of finance. This translates into excellence in forecasting, modeling, reporting, and optimization.
Marketing Insights and Analytics
The Marketing Insights and Analytics track helps provide the critical link between the promise of abundant data and actionable business insights gleaned from these data. By focusing on the combination of marketing and analytics, students develop the skills to drive informed business decisions and marketing strategies.
Supply Chain Analytics
Supply Chain Analytics is a combination of the disciplines of Supply Chain and Logistics Management and Business Analytics. This unique focus explores the characteristics of supply chains and identifies value-enhancing efficiencies, enabling graduates to manage internal operations and global supply chains in the manufacturing and service sectors and in government agencies.
Program Requirements
The MSB requires 45 credit hours of coursework, including:
- Five courses of general business foundational knowledge for 15 credits
- A minimum of 30 credits specific to the desired concentration
