Financial Planning Option
The Financial Planning Option provides the coursework required to sit for the Certified Financial Planner Certification Exam, a required component for certified financial planners. Coursework includes financial management, investments, and financial, tax, estate, insurance, and retirement-planning that culminates in a Capstone comprehensive financial plan.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the program, students will meet the following learning outcomes:
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the content found within the Financial Planning curriculum.
- Effectively communicate the financial plan, both orally and in writing, including information based on research, peer, colleague or simulated client interaction and/or results emanating from synthesis of material.
- Apply the CFP Board Financial Planning Practice Standards to the financial planning process.
