Renewable Energy Graduate Option

The Renewable Energy Graduate Option is an interdisciplinary specialization within the Mechanical Engineering graduate major. This option is available at the Corvallis location and requires students to select 16 credits of Mechanical Engineering courses from across all four primary graduate options. Additionally, students must choose from a set of courses that equip them to understand the underlying physical phenomena governing renewable energy technologies and US energy policy pertaining to renewables.


Requirements

To declare the Mechanical Engineering Renewable Energy graduate option, students must first fulfill core mechanical engineering requirements in one of two ways:


  • Declare an interdisciplinary option in mechanical engineering
  • Fulfill the requirements of one of the four Mechanical Engineering primary options
