Lehramtsbezogene Berufswissenschaft (LBW)

The LBW study area is a compulsory part of the Bachelor program with a teaching option. In the LBW modules, students acquire basic educational science, language education, and general didactic competencies. The modules include:


  • Basismodul Deutsch als Zweitsprache/Sprachbildung
  • Modul Pädagogisches Handeln in Schulen, which includes a 90-hour school practice

School Practice

The school practice is an essential part of the LBW study area. Students gain first-hand experience as teachers and get to know the school environment. The practice is theory-based and reflected upon before and after the practice.


Bachelor's Thesis

The Bachelor's thesis is a compulsory part of the program, with a scope of 10 LP. Students can apply for a Master's place without having completed their Bachelor's degree, provided they have completed at least 2/3 of the required credits.
