The Freie Universit酹 Berlin offers a training program for Media and Information Services Specialists. The program is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of library services, media, and information technology.
Program Description
The program is a 3-year training course that starts on September 1st. Participants will undergo various bibliothekarische training sessions, where they will learn about different media, communication with colleagues and users, and research techniques for the internet and databases. The program also includes practical training in other institutions outside the Freie Universit酹 Berlin, as well as the possibility of an internship abroad.
Benefits
Participants in the program will receive a tariff-based training allowance, a yearly bonus, and other benefits such as:
- 30 days of vacation
- A subsidy for the Germany ticket job and VBB company ticket
- A bonus of 400 upon successful completion of the training
- Reimbursement of most school book costs
Requirements

- 2nd year: 1,290.96
