Program Overview

Introduction to the Program

The Freie Universität Berlin offers a comprehensive program in "Trainer*in im betrieblichen Wissensmanagement" (Trainer in Corporate Knowledge Management). This program is designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively manage and transfer knowledge within their organizations.

Program Description

The program focuses on the rapidly changing work environment, where knowledge of how to solve core tasks in companies is becoming increasingly important. This is particularly relevant when introducing agile or digital work organizations, implementing new quality standards, experiencing rapid staff growth, undergoing reorganization, or facing succession planning challenges.

Target Group

The program is aimed at employees in companies and institutions who possess special knowledge and experience and want to pass it on to their colleagues, successors, or other stakeholders. This includes employees with and without leadership responsibilities, project managers, employee representatives, and corporate experts.

Program Goals

The primary objective of the program is to enable participants to systematically and comprehensively transfer their knowledge and expertise to others within their organization. By the end of the program, participants will have developed a coherent concept for passing on their knowledge and will have acquired the necessary didactic skills to do so effectively.

Program Structure

The program consists of five modules, each focusing on a specific aspect of knowledge management:

  • Module 1: Initiating learning processes in knowledge management
  • Module 2: Explaining and transferring knowledge
  • Module 3: Establishing transfer structures
  • Module 4: Selecting methods and techniques for knowledge transfer
  • Module 5: Reflecting on and securing knowledge transfer

Additional Components

In addition to the modules, participants will work on a practical project, applying the concepts learned during the program to their own organizational context. This project will be presented and discussed in a final workshop, providing an opportunity for feedback and reflection.

Certification

Upon completing the program and presenting their practical project, participants will receive a certificate from the Freie Universität Berlin.

Instructor

The program is led by Dr. Nadja Cirulies, an experienced consultant for organizational development and employee-oriented management, as well as a trainer and university lecturer with research focuses on vocational education and intercultural cooperation.
