Koreastudien (B.A.)
The Koreastudien (B.A.) program is a comprehensive undergraduate degree that focuses on the study of Korea and its historical development from a social science perspective.
Studienbereiche
The program is divided into several study areas, including:

- Studienbereich Koreastudien (Korea Studies Study Area)

Studienbereich Koreastudien
The Koreastudien study area consists of the following modules:
- Koreakunde I & II (Introduction to Korea I & II)
- Aufbaumodul Koreastudien (Korea Studies Advanced Module)
- Koreastudien Vertiefungsmodule I & II (Korea Studies In-Depth Modules I & II)
Koreakunde I & II
These modules provide an introduction to Korean history, politics, economy, culture, and research methods. Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of Korea's historical development, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work with scientific methods.
Aufbaumodul Koreastudien
This module consists of a proseminar, a lecture, and an exercise. It focuses on social and cultural science issues related to Korea, such as the political system, foreign policy, and popular culture. The goal is to enable students to develop Korea-related research questions based on sources and secondary literature.
Koreastudien Vertiefungsmodule I & II
These in-depth modules focus on important discourses in modern Korea, using selected scientific research questions. Students will develop skills in handling Korean-language sources, presenting theses in presentations, and debating scientifically.
