Winterthur - Research Fellowship Program

The Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library offers short and long-term residential research fellowships to academic, independent, and museum scholars, as well as advanced graduate students.

Research Areas

Research fellows conduct research in many areas of social and cultural history, including:

• Decorative arts
• Design
• Consumer culture
• Garden and landscape studies
• Shaker studies
• Travel and tourism
• The Atlantic World
• Objects in literature

Deadline

The anticipated deadline for applications is January 15, 2026.

Eligibility

The program is open to academic, independent, and museum scholars, as well as advanced graduate students.
