Program Overview

Advanced Standing MSW Program

The Advanced Standing MSW program is a 39-credit program with the following tuition breakdown:

• In-state cost: $444 per credit hour
• Out-of-state cost: $625 per credit hour Additional fees include:
  • $30 application fee
  • Additional course fees, which could be up to $400 per course, with a total of approximately 10 courses

Financial Aid Options

Financial aid is available for those who qualify. The options include:

• Federal loans through the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program, which offers:
  • Direct Subsidized and Unsubsidized Loans
  • Direct PLUS Loans
  • Direct Consolidation Loans
• Federal Perkins Loan Program, which applies to students with exceptional financial need
• Private loans through private lending agencies, which may have a higher interest rate than federal financial aid

Military Aid

For those in the military or veterans, the following options are available:

• Post-9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33): available to veterans who served active duty on or after September 10, 2001
• Post-9/11 GI Bill (Chapters 30, 31, 32, and 34): provides 36 months of education benefits to eligible veterans, available up to 10 years after release from active duty
• Survivors' and Dependents' Educational Assistance Program (DEA) (Chapter 35): provides up to 45 months of education benefits to dependents of veterans who are permanently and/or totally disabled due to a service-related condition, or who died while on active duty as a result of a service-related condition
• Montgomery GI Bill Selected Reserve (MGIB-SR) (Chapter 1606 and 1607): provides 36 months of education benefits to members of the Selected Reserve, with eligibility determined by the Selected Reserve and entitlement ending 14 years from the date of eligibility or the day the participant leaves the Selected Reserve
