Dietetics

The Dietetics program at Florida State University is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in dietetics, preparing them for careers in healthcare, food service, and nutrition. The program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND).


Program Description

Dietitians and nutritionists enjoy diverse and increasingly prestigious responsibilities among health professionals. In addition to general, clinical, and community dietetics, the clinical dietitian or nutritionist may specialize in metabolic support, renal dietetics, pediatric dietetics, or clinical research. Students are also prepared for institutional food service administration and product development for the food industry.
