- Public accounting
- Government or not-for-profit accounting

- Commercial or investment banking
Applying to the Program
Undergraduate students must apply for and be admitted to the MAcc program, ideally applying in the fall of their junior year. This includes students who were offered early admission to the integrated study program in accountancy. Admission to the MAcc is usually based on academic preparation and achievement, especially in accounting and general business coursework, and genuine interest in accounting.
Required Application Materials
The following materials are typically required when applying to the MAcc program:
- Essay and current resume: These items are required of all applicants.
- Two recommenders: As part of submitting the application, students will be required to enter the names, relationship, and contact information of two recommenders.
- Interview: Candidates may be required to have an in-person interview with one or more faculty members from the Department of Accountancy.
Application Deadlines
Integrated admissions is ongoing throughout the school year, beginning in the fall, continuing throughout the spring semester, and into the early summer months for the August start of the program. Generally, students should apply for the program in the semester or year before they plan to begin taking graduate courses.
Scholarships
Academic scholarships and graduate assistantships are available to students in the BS/MAcc integrated program. Students are encouraged to work with their Major Advisors to arrange study plans that maximize their undergraduate and graduate scholarships. Both domestic and international students are eligible for MAcc scholarships.
