Law Program Overview

The Law program at Case Western Reserve University is a 24-credit LLM degree program designed for U.S.-trained lawyers seeking additional education and experience in a specialized area of law. This degree is ideal for lawyers looking to shift to a new field of law, restart their career, or supplement their current practice.


Program Structure

The program can be completed full-time in nine months or part-time in up to four years. Students also have the option to combine the LLM with another graduate degree as part of a dual-degree program.


Tracks

Students can choose from the following tracks:


  • Intellectual Property Law: patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets
  • International Business Law: academic analysis and practical applications of U.S. business law and international business transactions
  • International Criminal Law: practice international criminal law before international tribunals or national courts
  • International Law: learn about the legal systems of countries and regions relevant to career plans
