First-year Clinical Experience

Begins during the first semester.


Junior Specialty Nursing Courses

Clinical experience in pediatrics, obstetrics, intensive care units, and an operating room to hone skills, including sterile techniques and infection control.


Fourth-year Clinical Preceptor

Pair with an RN for nearly 300 hours of one-on-one clinical training in a specialty such as emergency room, medical ICU, neuro ICU, neonatal or pediatric ICU, labor & delivery, and pediatric hematology/oncology, among others.


Senior Capstone Community Project

Take part in a 12-week, community-immersion experience, during which students analyze and publicly present findings on topics such as healthcare policy and finance, culture, and ethics.


Community Health

Provide health screenings and education to local schools and underserved neighborhoods while practicing clinical skills and learning how cultural and socioeconomic factors can impact health.

Camp Kesem Fundraisers

A free week-long camp run by CWRU students for children whose parents have cancer.


SpartanTHON Events

A fundraising and service organization that culminates each year with a festive 12-hour dance marathon that raises money for Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital.


Anatomy Fashion Show

Student models hit the runway in bodysuits painted by fellow students depicting various systems and organs of the human body, with emcees providing important lessons in physiology.


Nightingala & Nurse Prom

A semi-formal event sponsored by the Undergraduate Student Nurses Association, followed by Nurse Prom, where students enjoy free food and fun.
