Eligibility Qualifications

To be eligible for the program, applicants must demonstrate:


  • The desire to study questions and design inquiries that have a positive impact on the world.
  • The ability to articulate well-thought-out questions and hypotheses that align with ongoing research in the department.
  • The desire and ability to acquire rigorous research and statistical knowledge and skills, including quantitative statistics skills applied during research.
  • The desire to work with individuals, groups, organizations, and/or communities who are interested in research-driven change.
  • Demonstrated academic competence within the previous three years, as evidenced by grade transcripts and GRE/GMAT test scores.
  • English proficiency for all international students.
  • Previous research experience, publications, or scholarship, if any.

  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Application fee: $50 (non-refundable)
  • A written piece that shows writing and thinking skills, such as a proposal, report, class paper, or research paper. Generally, the written submission should be between five and ten pages long.

Financing Your PhD in Organizational Behavior

The program offers a full tuition waiver for four years of doctoral study, along with a competitive monthly stipend for four years of doctoral study.
