The Bachelor of Economics Bachelor of Sustainability and Environment offers the opportunity to develop analytical skills and obtain a comprehensive understanding of the economic ideas essential for addressing today's environmental challenges.
Course Description
This course is designed for those aiming to master economic principles and sustainability practices within the green economy. It provides a blend of rigorous economic training with a multidisciplinary approach to sustainability, allowing students to explore issues of economic efficiency, equity, and sustainable development.
Course Structure
In this double degree, students complete 192 credit points, with 96 credit points from the Bachelor of Economics and 96 credit points from the Bachelor of Sustainability and the Environment.
- The Economics component comprises:
- Eleven core subjects (66 credit points)
- Five elective subjects (30 credit points)
- The Sustainability and Environment component of 96 credit points comprises:
- Six core subjects (42 credit points)

Admission Requirements
Applicants must have completed an Australian Year 12 qualification, Australian Qualifications Framework Diploma, or equivalent Australian or overseas qualification at the required level. Eligibility for admission does not guarantee an offer of a place.

Course Fees
The indicative total tuition fee for government-supported domestic students is $72,250.00. Fees are reviewed annually and may change.
Duration and Intake
The course is offered on a four-year, full-time or eight-year, part-time basis. Intakes are available in Autumn and Spring sessions.
Location
Classes are held at the City Campus or specialist off-campus locations. Some courses are delivered via online (distance) learning.
