The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD Thesis: Marketing) is a research-based degree that allows students to make a significant, original contribution to the field of marketing.


Course Description

This PhD programme is targeted at aspiring leaders in various sectors and is designed to prepare students for high-level research and innovation. The programme is accredited by the AACSB International and is offered by the UTS Business School, which is among the world's elite.

The research program is tailored to each student, who designs it with their supervisors and the Business School at the start of their PhD. Under expert mentorship, students study their chosen marketing-related research topic over multiple years and regularly present their research to a team of experts for assessment.


Admission Requirements

Applicants must have completed a UTS-recognized master's by research or bachelor's honors degree with first-class or second-class/division 1 honors, or an equivalent or higher qualification. Selection criteria also include research potential, research experience, quality of the research proposal, alignment with the UTS Research Strategy, and the strategic goals of the field of specialization.

Course Fees

Government-funded scholarship places are available. The RTP Fees Offset Scholarship covers tuition fees for up to the maximum period of candidature. However, students should expect ongoing costs that aren't covered, such as travel, training, and professional development.


Duration

The maximum course duration is four years of full-time or eight years of part-time study. Students can complete the course in less than the maximum time.


Location

Classes are held at the City Campus or specialist off-campus locations. Some courses are delivered via online (distance) learning.
