Master of Public Health

The Master of Public Health is designed for professionals who are passionate about creating positive change for population and community health and want to advance their skills to improve the quality of public health programs at a local, national, or global level.

Course Overview

The UTS Online Master of Public Health comprises 12 online subjects (72 credit points in total). Students have the option to follow one of the listed specialisation pathways or choose to study a general pathway with no major and select four additional electives to comprise the total amount of credit points required for this course.

Entry Requirements

To gain entry into the Master of Public Health course, applicants must have completed an Australian Bachelor degree or overseas equivalent or higher. Applicants must also have a Statement of Service on an official letterhead from their workplace's human resource department (or equivalent) confirming the dates of employment and the position held within the organisation.

English Language Requirements

English language requirements apply to both international and domestic students. The English proficiency requirement for local applicants with international qualifications is: Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0; or TOEFL: paper-based: 550-583 overall with TWE of 4.5, internet-based: 79-93 overall with a writing score of 21; or AE5: Pass; or PTE: 58-64 with a writing score of 50; or C1A/C2P: 176-184 with a writing score of 169.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Previous studies or employment experience can be acknowledged as credit towards online postgraduate studies, provided that it meets the relevant course requirements.

FEE-HELP

To assist with all or some of your tuition fees, FEE-HELP is available for eligible students. This government-supported loan scheme is designed to help eligible full-fee paying students pay their tuition fees.
