Graduate Diploma in High Performance Sport
The Graduate Diploma in High Performance Sport is designed to develop skilled professionals to lead and innovate in sports science with a commitment to ethical practice and enhancing the wellbeing of athletes.
Course Description
This course is developed and delivered in collaboration with industry experts from the field, with each subject comprising a mix of theory and evidence-based practice. You'll develop a solid grounding of the knowledge and skills required in a variety of high performance sport careers and the opportunity to advance and tailor knowledge and skills development at an advanced level.
Course Structure
- The course is offered on a one-and-a-half-year, full-time or three-year, part-time basis.
- Subjects are delivered online, and you'll be able to contextualise your learning to your local industry and community needs as well as experience expertise from world-leading sport performance professionals.
Admission Requirements
To be eligible for admission to this course, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Completed Australian bachelor's degree or higher qualification, or overseas equivalent, in a Sport and Exercise related discipline with a minimum GPA of 5/7
- OR
- Completed Australian bachelor's degree or higher qualification, or overseas equivalent, in a Sport and Exercise related discipline with a GPA between 3.5-4.99/7 AND a minimum of 5 years full-time, or equivalent part-time, relevant professional work experience in a health or human services field working in athlete preparation for high performance sport
- OR
- Completed Australian bachelor's degree or higher qualification, or overseas equivalent, in any field of study with a minimum GPA of 3.5/7 AND a minimum of 5 years full-time, or equivalent part-time, relevant professional work experience in a health or human services field working in athlete preparation for high performance sport
English Language Requirements
- IELTS Academic: overall 6.5, writing 6.0
- TOEFL iBT: overall 79, writing 21
