Bachelor of Cybersecurity
The Bachelor of Cybersecurity is designed to give students specialist knowledge and skills in cybersecurity and its digital, physical, and social impact. The degree will provide students with skills needed by industry, preparing them to understand, prevent, and respond to cybersecurity threats and challenges.
Course Description
The course is tailored for aspiring cybersecurity professionals seeking to advance their careers, as well as those aiming for further academic pursuits in the field. The course is offered in both Standard mode and as part of the UTS Industry Degree Academy (IDeA). The Standard Program is offered to both domestic and international students, while the IDeA Program is offered only to domestic students.
Admission Requirements
Applicants must have completed an Australian Year 12 qualification, Australian Qualifications Framework Diploma, or equivalent Australian or overseas qualification at the required level. Additional application and selection procedures apply for the IDeA version of this course.
Course Structure
The course is completed in three years of full-time study. Students in the Standard Program may undertake an additional year with the Diploma in Information Technology Professional Practice (C20056).

Inherent requirements are academic and non-academic requirements that are essential for successfully completing a course at UTS.
Assumed Knowledge
The assumed knowledge for the course includes HSC Mathematics Advanced and any two units of English. Mathematics Extension 1 and English Advanced are recommended.
Recognition of Prior Learning
Students who have completed equivalent subjects at a recognised tertiary education institution may be eligible for recognition of prior learning (RPL) if the subjects completed are deemed by the Faculty to be equivalent to subjects in the course.
