Nursing Program

The Clinical Practice Unit (CPU) provides comprehensive information about clinical placements for Bachelor of Nursing students through the MyPlacement portal.


Key Documents

Students are required to familiarize themselves with the following key documents, located under the 'Faculty Documents' tab in MyPlacement:


  • Compliance guide: Students must begin fulfilling their mandatory NSW Health and UTS compliance requirements upon receiving their course offer.
  • Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Calendar: The Bachelor of Nursing Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Calendar outlines the expected timing of clinical placement allocations throughout a student's degree.

Placement Details

Students commencing the Nursing program from 2026 onwards can expect the following placement weeks:


Standard Pathway

  • First year:
    • PCP: 2 weeks, 80 hours
    • ICP: 3 weeks, 120 hours
  • Second year:
    • CP2A: 2 weeks, 80 hours
    • FMHN: 2 weeks, 80 hours
    • CP2B: 2 weeks, 120 hours
  • Third year:
    • CP3A: 4 weeks, 120 hours
    • TPP: 6 weeks, 240 hours
  • Total: 840 hours

Accelerated Pathway

  • Second year:
    • CP2A: 2 weeks, 80 hours
    • FMHN: 2 weeks, 80 hours
    • CP2B: 2 weeks, 120 hours
  • Third year:
    • CP3A: 4 weeks, 120 hours
    • TPP: 6 weeks, 240 hours

Inherent Requirements
