Bachelor of Cybersecurity Bachelor of International Studies
The Bachelor of Cybersecurity Bachelor of International Studies is a five-year, full-time course that combines cybersecurity expertise with a global perspective. This program prepares students for dynamic careers in a growing industry, focusing on the technical, physical, and social aspects of cybersecurity.
Course Description
This course is tailored for aspiring cybersecurity professionals seeking to enhance their technical expertise and cultural fluency. It educates and prepares students with knowledge and skills in cybersecurity, its digital, physical, and social impact, and provides a pathway to honours, postgraduate study, and a research career.
Course Structure
The course is designed for students who intend to make a career in the profession. It provides a broad range of current and emerging areas of cybersecurity, including system security, information security, network security, cloud security, mobile platform security, IoT security, and privacy preservation. Learning is underpinned by a solid foundation in computing and information technology, preparing graduates to work in various IT roles.
Admission Requirements
Applicants must have completed an Australian Year 12 qualification, Australian Qualifications Framework Diploma, or equivalent Australian or overseas qualification at the required level. Eligibility for admission does not guarantee an offer of a place.

Course Fees
The indicative total tuition fee for government-supported domestic students is $91,455.00. Fees are reviewed annually and may change.
Location
Classes are held at the City Campus or specialist off-campus locations. Some courses are delivered via online (distance) learning.

The course aims to provide an opportunity to acquire knowledge and understanding of another language and culture, intercultural awareness and engagement, resilience and adaptability, and stronger communication skills. It encourages understanding and appreciation of diverse cultural perspectives, practices, needs, and values in international and local contexts.

Professional Recognition
Graduates are eligible to apply for Cybersecurity professional-level membership of the Australian Computer Society.
Recognition of Prior Learning
Students who have completed equivalent subjects at a recognised tertiary education institution may be eligible for recognition of prior learning (RPL) if the subjects completed are deemed by the Faculty to be equivalent to subjects in the course.
Inherent Requirements

Assumed Knowledge
- HSC Mathematics Advanced and any two units of English.
- Mathematics Extension 1 and English Advanced are recommended.
- There are no prior language requirements for the international studies program.
Course Duration
This course is offered on a five-year, full-time basis. Students may undertake an additional year with the Diploma in Information Technology Professional Practice (C20056).
